Last Sunday in 2020

Well, so much has happened since my last post in August 2020. I started an online passion for Afrocentric clothes line and Artifacts. It was a wonderful experience, as I got to dance model my clothes line and tap into my joy of dance. It was merely a coping mechanism I recon. The intense lockdown in Victoria needed one to make joy with the situation and privileges at that moment so dance, clothes and fedex became my colleagues. It’s December 2020 now and almost the end, I am currently in a space whereby I get to contribute to Early Years Learning strategies for children 0-6 years old. I am grateful for the opportunity.

I must admit I miss the children from an African Experience Perspective, their smiles, their uncertain faces at the beginning, their curiosity, their joy, their openness, their connection to me and them not wanting me to leave at the end. I feel like I have buried that part of me and yet it CALLS me still…

Here is to 2021 and whatever it brings, I don’t think it matters now whatever comes because we were NEVER meant to stay here on this rock for eternity anyway. So we plod on with our best foot forward.

Love and Hugs ALWAYS.

(I do hope I get to visit you again, whenever.)
